Review:
Not since
“Kronos! The Opera!” has Timekeeping been so deliberately music-ified.
With a
no-star cast and an audience of dozens, I clocked in and waited for the show to
begin.
The
kick-off number, “Looks Like Java’s Mad At Kronos, Again!”
was indeed a
jaunty piece that set the tone for this tale of two lovers from different
worlds:
a
Timekeeper boy and the I.T. girl he fancies.
He then
serenaded her departmental website picture with the wistful ballad, “Will You
Ever Approve?”
Followed by
a Rock ‘n’ Roll dream sequence number, “Don’t Forget to Hit Save!”
Then a
lovely instant messaging duet, “Take a Chance, But Leave A Comment!”
Before
ending with the grandiose, mostly-orchestrated finale, “Sign-Off!”
Truly the
feel-okay show of the current pay period.
[The show’s
run extends from 6/21/15 through 7/4/15.
Students,
non-exempts and limiteds get first dibs.]
